Rapid keyword Entry
No need any more to type all those opcodes over and over again or to twist your fingers to type *blank or *zero. Editor/400 only needs one letter on the right spot to know what you want. The following codes are recognized by Editor/400:
Typing the characters on the first position of factor1, followed by a blank, has the following results, when you press Enter. The cursor will automatically proceed to the next position where you need to type data. I.e. Typing Z in the opcode will result in Z-add in the opcode and the cursor on the first column of factor 2.
Typing the characters listed in the first column and pressing enter, gives the results listed in the other columns. The result indicators are only filled when they contain blanks initially and the default file indicator is filled.
Factor 2 functions: the opcode field is only filled by Editor/400, when it contains blanks initially.
With EVAL, IF, WHEN or blanks in the Opcode, and strings like=z and > b in the extended factor 2, Editor/400 converts those strings to=*Zero and > *Blanks:
